This is not an article you will find in a boat do-it-yourself book, but I have included it because which father would not like to sail a model boat on a lake with his son? My boat is not an ordinary model sailing boat. It is radio controlled in every function and sails like a real sailboat. It even has working navigation lights. It is a true scale model of an actual Colin Archer ketch, made from a kit that included a pre-formed hull.

It is not for the impatient builder, and the finished boat is 48” inches long and 58” inches€¯ tall and weighs 50 lbs. It will be a very interesting read for any model maker.
