A new floor was needed for the office.


Part of the remodeling of Britannia’s chart table area involved making a new section of floor, or to use its correct nautical term the sole. After removing the old chart table the floor beneath was just rough plywood so I had to match it with the exisiting Teak and Maple saloon floor. I could not find any floor to match so I make my own and this article explains the procedure in detail.
