When my wind generator was damaged in a hurricane in Florida, I took it to pieces and put new bearings in the front and rear. It was surprisingly easy to dismantle the machine, but the hardest part was lowering it and hoisting it back up the mast. So I decided to re-install it on a pole at the rear of the boat.
