Nice-looking eye splices in double braided line always add a touch of professionalism to any boat and show the owner’€s care and attention to his vessel. However, actually doing the splice is a different matter, because the word €˜complicated” is an understatement when trying to do a reverse-tuck class 1 eye splice - at least it is for me. I devised a much easier way to achieve the same result, without using any special fids or breaking any fingernails, and which has been tested on an official Navy rope testing machine to be of immense strength.
