The special valves are interconnected with pipe which is pumped from the end of the run and each valve seals itself when the water level is reached.

Filling batteries with distilled water is easy enough on say, a car, which has only one battery with six caps. Doing it on a boat that has ten batteries and a total of 48 caps, all deep within the bilge is a very different matter. It used to take me about two hours to test then fill them with water using a funnel and a jug.
I now use a product that does it automatically using pipes and special replacement caps. Now it takes ten minutes and I don’t even get my hand dirty. If your boat has multiple batteries in an inaccessible place, you need to look at this superb idea.
