The aft cabin layout of Britannia was ridiculous and space was not used to the best advantage. Lazarette lockers reduced the headroom in the bed and a washbasin restricted access to the port side of the bed.

The area was completely stripped down to the floor and rebuilt into a much nicer and more spacious layout, with no loss of cupboard or locker storage. This article will give you ‘food for thought’ about how you might improve any of your own cabin layouts.
